Northern Powerhouse gathers momentum

Government has long accepted the need to spread wealth & prosperity beyond London and the South East. Devolution for Scotland created an appetite for greater devolution in England led by the great Victorian cities in the North and Midlands.  Much progress has been made, particularly in the Greater Manchester Region.
